Halloween is always a gamble- we never know if Hunter will be overwhelmed or participate in all the festivities. He dressed in his costume, with the mask, and was ready to start at 6:00. We waited for all of our friends to arrive, took some pictures, and started to trick or treat on our street. Hunter broke down twice, crying because "everyone left" him, but we ended up getting the group in a rhythm and they walked mainly together from house to house.

The kids made it almost an hour and half- we stopped and chatted with neighbors, the kids ate some of their candy, and there were relatively few meltdowns all night.
It was definitely a treat to see everyone interacting together. :)
