kicking back and having fun

The last few weekends we have had some fun activities... even though the kids go strong all week, we still want to play on the weekend!  Two weekends ago, we went to Great Wolf Lodge with some friends.  The kids had an absolute blast.  There were two "big" rides that Hunter wanted to ride over and over again.  You have to walk up three flights of stairs to get to the top- can you imagine how tired (and how sore!) those kids were?  Not to mention the daddies, too...

Such a fun day!

 

 

Last weekend, we had our church carnival.  The kids had been anticipating going due to seeing the set-up everyday of preschool this week.  Kind of hard to miss the large semis and trailers full of tilt-a-whirl rides.  We surprised them and took them Friday night after Daddy got home.  We went with our sweet friends and again, Hunter surprised me by going on the fastest coaster- even went backwards!

 This nice man let Hunter throw darts until he popped a balloon.  Of course, we ended up in a fit b/c he became frustrated, but he did win a hamburger from another game.  Can you see his confusion?

 However, ,the fun ended quickly....everyone was tired and hungry.  Two out of three melting down, right in the middle.  And once Paige got to the car, she joined in- oh well, fun while it lasted!



 

 

Paige also had her first soccer game this weekend- on her new team- and scored THREE goals!  She played incredible offense, and even passed to a teammate to score.  She is amazing out there!

Then Sunday...daddy and mommy tackled the back yard, the only thing we have let go.  It's so hard to manage even just day to day jobs...so the backyard really needed some TLC.  We pulled weeds, took down some lattice work that has been there since we moved in, and trimmed so many plants.  We had an idea to open up this little bed and make it Peyton's haven...he absolutely loves driving his cars in the dirt.  Here's the before...

 And the after!  He LOVED it!  And the hose is right next to it for quick cleaning. :)



 

Keeping busy!  This weekend we have more soccer, birthday parties, and two nights out for mommy and daddy.  Headed to bed as this day did me in...in more ways than one.  Will elaborate tomorrow.:)
