Weekend events

So Hunter attended his first birthday party of the school year a couple of weekends ago, and we were a little nervous about it.  We are in a new school, with a new set of classmates- and we aren't too sure who knows Hunter's story.  One of the dads there said to Peter, "Oh I know Hunter!  He doesn't really like school, does he?"  We take it he must be there at drop off and have seen the daily antics (which, by the way, have STOPPED.  I told the therapists I thought he was working the outside "safe area" to escape class, so we devised a new system of earning pictures to color for each morning job he completed.  Hasn't had an issue since).  Anyways, Peter and I talked prior to the party and he decided to take him- and not tell anyone that didn't ask.

It was one of the best parties he has ever been to, a full circus theme with animal rides, clowns, bounce houses...it was amazing.  And his behavior was....NORMAL!  He fit in like any other kid there.  Peter said not one issue.
he rode a pony!!

does he seriously have a clown nose on his face?

Paige and Peter went camping this weekend on their Indian Princess campout- they always have a blast.  And for some reason, each time they go, it either rains or a cold front passes through.  Same story for this past weekend! But they had a blast doing crafts, riding horses, playing with friends, and enjoying the camp fire.

So the boys and I had a weekend on our own.  After getting home from work Friday, Hunter wanted (yes, he initiated it!) wanted to ride his bike outside.  I chased them for a bit and we headed to Jason's Deli for dinner- yum!  I decided to let Hunter have some of the free ice cream (real dairy).  Not sure if that was it or not, but he was up in the middle of the night from 2:15-4:45 AM.  I finally crept back downstairs at 5:20 and was awakened by Peyton in an hour.  Not the best way to start a long weekend on 4 hours of sleep. We made the most of it and had some park time, more bike riding, a playdate with JP (even though Hunter couldn't maintain attention to any situation for more than a couple of minutes).

Finding things to do ;)

So here we are, at the start of another week.  I am finding myself wanting to call Dr G, wanting to call the infusion center, wanting to call the insurance company to beg and plead to turn around their denial.  Dr. G's nurse is going to file an appeal (not sure when that will be completed) and she said that can take up to 30 days (or even 60 days) to get an answer.

And again, all I can do it wait.

Maybe I should start buying lottery tickets.

Time is money, right?
