Round 7- Day 3 IVIG- we need some sleep!

SO...today started at 3:40 for Hunter.  I am a pretty light sleeper, but I must have been exhausted because somehow I missed our little man sneaking down early this morning to find his tablet, and taking it back up to his room.  When we woke to our alarm at 6:30, we were thinking how great it was that all the kids were still sleeping.  However, when Peyton came down about 6:45 wondering where Hunter was...well, we found him- with his tablet.  He said, "I didn't sleep until the 7!  I woke up at....3:40!"

Not a great sign for day three.  When we arrived, he would not take his pre-meds. Just hold him down and make him swallow it, right?  Not a chance.  He twisted, wriggled, hit, kicked, screamed...he would NOT take the vials.  After he cried and whined for almost thirty minutes, he finally gave in for the nurse.  Those tired cries confirmed that this little boy was most definitely up early.

He also has been having a hard time falling asleep at night.  Typical for the week of IVIG...but it still doesn't get easier!

Last night, he was running up and down the stairs with his blanket on his head.  No joke.  I think the IVIG gives him adrenaline or something- but the week after, he starts sleeping well again and rarely do we have night wakings, which were frequent prior to the start of IVIG.

Hoping for some rest tonight and a chance for some respite this weekend.

Well, in between 3 soccer games, team pictures, swim lessons, a triathlon, and a birthday party. ;)
