Celebrating Hunter's bday and our country's celebration

Summer is finally in full swing here at our house.  Even though I felt like we needed a vacation from our vacation, we have kept on with activities, home schooling, and fun!

Paige finished this NOVEL on and after our trip.  Amazing reader!

Even though I had to do all the party prep before we left, we decided to host Hunter's birthday party the day after we got home.  He wanted to have a pool party with his friends, and we didn't want to wait until after the fourth of July holiday.  So we pulled it together and had a great time! May or may not have ordered the cupcakes on the trip home...

Hunter's two best buddies!

We asked him if we could sing to him this year, and he said, "YES!"  He made a wish and blew out that number 7 candle.

these cuties are pure fun- and trouble! :)

The kids ate almost ALL the snacks- swimming works up that appetite!!  Forgot to take a picture of the table. :(
Then it was time for our Fourth celebration.  We started out the night with a fun photo booth...

They tried their hand at breaking boards...
And then the kids made their own with their props to make a little money- we obliged...

these two chased bubbles...

And then this crazy kid did a little dance...and the fireworks began!! Hunter did great- very little yelling and watched all 25 minutes of them!

The next morning, Paige was in the parade for her academy soccer team, so we took to the streets to watch her walk by handing out candy (our town's tradition)

uncle Bob came in town!!

waving to the police

completely different situation than last year.  No screaming, yelling, running...just a slight cover of his ear.

And then the pleading began...guys, just one picture.  Just one.  Just one...

silly faces/poses/this crazy life;)

Then it was pool party time- and we have the best hosting friends.  Food, drinks, pool time...the works! It was such a fun day.

We couldn't end the weekend without a little victory dance for the women's world cup!!

I found more vacation pics, so I will have to do an addendum post.  And I need to sit and just write...Hunter has had some good days, some really hard days...but we are making progress in many areas.  Good things to come!
