Hippotherapy- Tim Tam is a hit!

We continued with horse therapy lessons this fall, despite a schedule change.  I had informed the center that we would be unable to continue with Friday lessons, because we were usually stuck in 45 minutes of traffic, and Hunter was too tired after a long week at school to have a successful lesson.  They called us a week later and said they had an opening for a Sunday coveted spot at 4:30.  We took it!  Hunter's new instructor is awesome- she has so much patience, and nothing rattles her.  She has this calm demeanor that works wonders on Hunter.  He had a hard first lesson, but every subsequent lesson has been better and better.  He now rides on THREE trails (he used to only make it around a half of one) and has been learning to stand up on the house for a 10-count.  Once he shows proficiency in standing, they will graduate him to learning to trot.

It is amazing to see Hunter ride this horse- he asks on the weekends if it is time to see Tim Tam.  He loves riding- and so do his lucky siblings that have been able to take part this round! I'll attach a few videos below.  We are so grateful for this grant funded service, that improves his core strength, his attention, sensory processing, balance, and works to target his emotional side by overcoming anxiety and fear.
