Catching up from the past couple of weeks

Guilty of not blogging for over two weeks.  SO many activities, holidays, family, friends...I am so very behind! So I am going to attempt to wrap it all up in a nice "catch me up quick" blog.  Here's a look at our last fun and crazy couple of weeks:
Grandma and grandpa arrive!!

The Fresh Beat Band was back in town!  We went to the concert and most of us had a great time- Hunter wasn't too excited about the loud music and was frightened when Twist ran to slap our hands (Paige got to touch him twice!).  He spent the second half outside the auditorium...but still was able to listen to the music and enjoy the band.

Paige's soccer team met at a yogurt place to hand out bobble head trophies and eat a sweet treat.

At Paige's elementary, they had a Thanksgiving Feast- and performed a little skit.  Paige was a turkey and was the loudest "gobbler" in the group.

We took our grandparents, Sue and Don, to the large hotel to see the ice sculptures.  It was FREEZING inside...didn't stop Hunter from refusing a jacket and walking inside mine when we entered the ice area.

Since Peyton started jumping out of his crib, we decided it was time to get a new mattress.  We actually ordered one that came in a box and expands when you take it out.  The kids had a blast getting rides around the house.

Warmer temperatures over the weekend, so we went to the Farmer's Market.
One week is a long time off of school and OT...so practicing a little handwriting.

Aunt Mel and Uncle George sent St. Nick presents..and the incessant asking if they could open the presents worked to their advantage as they said they could go ahead and open them.

New ornaments!
We hosted Thanksgiving at our house, so in preparation for the 15 people we were planning for the meal, Daddy and Grandma and Grandpa took the kids outside to play, I mean rake, the leaves.

Got some serious air time on this one.

Prepping the Thanksgiving meal...so thankful for Chef grandpa to orchestrate the meal and handle the meat!!
Filling the double baked potatoes
Everyone needs a BUZZ to attend their feast, right?
Tables were set.  First time for a kids table in our house!

Aunt Kathy!

Look at this spread!

The kids decided after dinner that they had to put on a dance show for everyone...Hunter included!

The kids ran outside (with our sweet friend JP!) and went to see the Christmas lights.

The next morning, starting at 7 AM, Hunter asked us if we could decorate for Christmas.  And asked us all morning until we caved and got all the bins out...but we completed it in under four hours!

Wouldn't be complete without The Polar Express in the background!

Paige had her own tree to decorate...with help from the boys

That same weekend, we had a group of college friends in town and they, along with all of their children, all came for apps, gumbo, pizza, and dessert.

We had a bonus weekend today- it iced and sleeted all night long and school, as well as both of our jobs, were cancelled today!  Looks like a fun, snow filled yard...but that is 1/2-1 inch thick ice!

Unfortunately, we lost power from about 4 AM until 11, and then again from 12-3.  It was 64 degrees in our house.  Thankful for a gas fireplace that Grandpa Don showed us how to use.

Kids wanted to play school, so after play dough, we had circle time and a lesson on....snowmen!

Daddy had to work from home all day...but he snuck out in between conference calls to have this little lady run around in the ice for a bit.  She was having a blast!

Staying warm indoors today...and enjoying playtime all day!
