Christmas Eve Eve Eve

So much anticipation for the big day...our kids have enjoyed the countdown calendar, and dropping to the single digits this past week, the excitement grows daily.  Today, the kids called it, "Christmas Eve Eve Eve."  Hunter has had a hard time with the stack of presents under the tree...he wants to open them SO badly.  "Mommy, can't I just open ONE present??"

I finished work on Thursday and Peter finished Friday...I am off till after the new year and Peter has all of next week off.  YIPPEEE!!  I raced to complete all of my paperwork Thursday night, reports and summaries by Friday so I could fully enjoy being off of work.  Can't tell you how badly I need this time off!

That being said, last week was the busiest week of the year with class parties, completing my therapy visits, extra snacks/events, preparing teacher gifts...I slept like a baby Friday night (with the exception of a little guy waking up since there was a full moon).  Here are some pictures to catch you up on our last weeks:

finally made some GFCF cut out cookies

Kids had a snowman auditory direction following activity

This little girl has gotten so flexible with dance and constant practice.

Peyton even got into it
Time for presents and crazy week!
Made cards on the cardstore.com for each of the kids' teachers/therapists.
So holidays get a little expensive when you have so many therapists and teachers in your lives!  Made this little sign for Paige's sweet teacher's window.  Can't look too closely but it was fun to do!
Elfie reading to the crew                   Paige ready for a fun school day
Pretty proud of this little girl...Paige described Christmas....and remember, she attends public school.
 Time for Peyton's Party!

My little Santa man loved the frosting on the cupcakes.  Even tried to lick the knife!
Paige's party!  I couldn't make it until the end due to sitter time constraints, but she saw "Frozen" with the school that day and made a comfy little pillow for the party.  Creative room moms!

We missed Hunter's party due to his occupational therapy. :(  He didn't seem to mind- he loves his OT!

Last weekend we had Peter's work party- a charity gala downtown.  SO much fun...this little lady helped me get ready.

Then a friend from my hometown who moved her recently called us with Packer tickets for the game!  Woo hoo!

Poor little Peyton has been running a fever for the past three days.  Took him to the wishy-washy PA (all appointments were booked) and she couldn't decide if it was viral or bacterial...told me to wait on the antibiotic but to treat if he got worse in 48 hours.  He didn't get worse, but we couldn't shake the fever, so he started today.  Hoping he wakes up tomorrow fever free and we can get on to celebrating Christmas!  The kids have watched more movies and TV this weekend then probably in their whole lives.  It's hard to keep one semi-quarantined to avoid exposing everyone else.  Hunter hasn't had too many behaviors, though- and when he does, they are manageable.

Took this little lady with me to the mall early Saturday AM to finish up a couple of last-minute things.  Started shopping early this year (love Amazon!) and thought we were done, but had to sneak out for a minute to finish up a bit.  We told Paige she has to wait until she is 8 to get her ears pierced, and I mentioned that they have clip earrings...so we had to add those to the purchases.  She was so excited to wear earrings...that smile made that simple Claire's purchase so worth it!

milkshakes and letters to santa
Paige started basketball!  Peter is the assistant coach, and this little lady scored 4 baskets this weekend!
So since it was Christmas Eve Eve Eve, the kids wrapped presents for the toys- Hunter, for McQueen, and Paige for her dolls.
love the wrapping paper with the grids on the back- great fine motor practice!

have to label it, right?  more fine motor practice!

look at all those doll presents under her tree
Playing go fish, listening to a new Frozen CD.  Hunter's play skills have improved so much!

tick-tock, tick-tock...I'm sure these next couple days (Christmas Eve Eve and Christmas Eve) will go by slowly for the kids.  Planning on seeing Frozen tomorrow if all are well and see the Christmas lights!
