Getting ready for Christmas

Trim the tree.  Put up the Christmas lights.  Set up the nativity.  Check, check, check.

Hunter had anxiety the first day we started to talk about the Christmas season, asking if he could open his presents, if it was Christmas yet...he wanted it all to be right then, right now.  We have had a little tradition to set up the Nativity on our front dining room table.  Paige and Hunter joined me at the table, and we placed all of the figurines, with baby Jesus last.  "Shh..," Hunter said, "baby Jesus is sleeping!."

I tried to attach a video, but it was too large to send.  I asked him to sing baby Jesus a song, and as he ran away, he said, "No, he can sing it by himself."  He makes me laugh daily!

Saturday afternoon Paige had her final swim meet (she shaved seven seconds off of her 25 free!) and the boys went to the yearly Santa party given by our friends' parents.  Paige was so sad not to attend...hope the boys told Santa she had been a good girl!

Just not sure about this guy!

She looks so official!
Swimming the butterfly...so cute!

Our hometown had a Christmas night parade which we attended with another family.  Our children are the same ages and have attended preschool together.  The kids had a great time watching the floats, the marching bands, the dancers, and the grand finale...Santa and Mrs. Clause on a fire engine!

After the parade, we headed to the tree lighting ceremony and danced with the band, took pictures with Frosty, the Gingerbread man, elves, and finally with the big man himself.  Such a fun night for our family!

Even ran into one of Hunter's school friends, as well as several of Paige's friends, too!

Not quite sure about Frosty

Rudolph!

Love our hometown and all of the Christmas activities!  Our circle has a theme each year- the Twelve Days of Christmas.  Our whole family took out the bikes (which Hunter rode by himself, training wheels of course) and rode through the twelve days, singing the popular Christmas carol.  Fun times. :)
