Soccer ups and downs

Paige had a great season this year- she scored a goal every game, sometimes up to 5 goals, and had a sweet team of girls that really came together as friends and teammates.  Coach daddy had a winning season- pretty impressive for a team of mostly first-timers!  We had a fun end of the year party at our house, with soccer trophies for all the girls.

 

 

Hunter's soccer season has had many more downs than ups.  Each practice or game has been filled with an hour of non-compliance.  We decided from now until the end of the season next weekend that we will not force play; if he chooses to go in the game, fantastic.  He does participate in the high fives through the tunnel at the end of the games with his team.

Hoping for a few moments in the game- he has done a few kick-offs for Daddy, but only stays in for a minute or so, and runs off the field in tears.  The season may not have been what we had hoped for, but he is still beginning to understand the concept of being on a team.
