IVIG #3- Days 1-3

We started IVIG Round 3 on Tuesday, and the IV went in the first time, the meds were started (with a premedication of steroids, Tylenol, and Benadryl), and everything went as planned.

He had an easy transition home, was pleasant, and extremely chatty.

Day Two: Up at 6:15, and came to our bed with non-stop talking.  Bouncing in the bed, hugging, moving...couldn't tell if it was the steroids or the IVIG.
Peyton came to the hospital with us Wednesday, and the boys watched some movies, played some games, and ate snacks while we waited for the three-hour drip to finish.  That afternoon, Hunter was a little more agitated- the steroids never have the best immediate effect on him. However, when Paige got home from school, we were getting ready to take her to religious ed, and I told him not to turn the TV on.  He said, "OK, OK, I know!"  Paige ran up to me and said, "Mommy!  I think it's working!  I haven't ever heard Hunter say that before!"
Too cute. :)

Later that night, he couldn't stop moving again...I am hoping this video will load, because you will get a glimpse of his activity the.whole.day.  When's bedtime??? Bouncing up and down on the couch, yelling, "WHEE!!! Look at me!!"

Day 3:  He was up at 5:45AM today and has been a complete Chatterbox ever since.  Can't complain but WOW....
Started the day at the hospital with a game instead of a movie.  He really enjoyed Connect Four.

On the way to the hospital, he wanted to listen to Paige's Vacation Bible School CD from last summer.  The first song, "Stand Together," came on, and the words followed: "We will trust, trust in God our Lord, we will stand.  Stand upon his throne and whatever comes our way, we are strong, and we are brave."

He asked me in the middle of the song, "Mommy?  Why to we trust God?"

Reveling in the beauty of that perfect question, I told him, "God is always by our side.  We trust him that we are making all the right choices, and that everything will always work out."

"Do you trust God, Hunter?"

After telling me yes, and going on to belt out the last verse of the song, I smiled with the fact that God was in his heart.

Trust that we are not standing alone-

we are strong, brave, and can overcome whatever comes our way when we stand together.
