Knock on Wood...we have AMAZING over here!

So far, IVIG #10 has proved to be the best infusion thus far.  Hunter had a super easy transition back to school, has been compliant in the classroom and in the specials rooms, and has had much better in-home sessions.

The buttons I continue to push a bit still result in calm, thought-provoking behavior.  The immediate reaction is gone.

Now we have had a couple of not great moments- but you have to remember, IVIG is not a cure- it is a tool to make his learning of social rules, educational information, and behavioral lessons sink in and become relevant for this little boy.

We ended last week with our newest therapy...HIPPOTHERAPY!  I put Hunter on a wait list almost two years ago...and it was our turn!

Each horse had his own bridle station

Hunter didn't want to wear a helmet, so he just walked him today.

my pretty girl :)

giving him his treat!

We also attended a Disney show- and he didn't get upset AT all!  He walked right in, sat in his chair, covered his own ears, and sang along with many of the songs.  He did flap a bit, but if you didn't pay attention to the movement, he was like any other kid there.

And then...this past weekend....as we were waiting for Paige's soccer game to start, this little boy #1- asked a friend to play; #2- scored four goals;  #3- ran up and down the field kicking the ball.  WHAT?!!

A little swimming with mommy- but this busy boy wanted to ride the slide the majority of the time.

And then some pictures from the class blog- Hunter really at work!

things that are magnetic vs non-magnetic
So two amazing weeks post IVIG.  He has a field trip scheduled this Thursday, and his equally amazing teacher said she was thinking about taking him on his own, without special ed support.  She said he just does better when it is only her....talk about ownership!  How are we going to move to first grade next year without this lady?!?

Thanks for the prayers- they work!
