Giving back to big sis

I have written many times about the relationship between Paige and Hunter.  This past week, Paige has had several fun events, and the roles reversed...Hunter was the cheerleader this time.  Paige's class celebrated the 101st day of school with "101 Dalmatians day."  It was so cute- all of the kindergartners dressed up in their black and white and paraded throughout the school.  Hunter was very excited to see Paige in her class, as well as walk by with her doggie ears.

Paige and her sweet friend, cutest dalmatians ever!

Paige also had her first daddy/daughter dance this weekend.  It was so special for Paige- she looked absolutely beautiful in a dress that our sweet friends loaned us, and I was ecstatic for the day to be about HER.
Fancy hair for a fancy princess, after I did her nails.

She was so shy to come downstairs...

Daddy surprised her with a flower

Peter said she warmed up quickly and danced the entire time they were at the event.  Several of her friends from her Indian Princess Tribe were there, as well as other friends from school. Favorite dance of the night?  Gangnam Style.  Hilarious!  How do these little girls know this dance?!?

And the icing on the cake...after Paige ran in, full of excitement and stories, Hunter asked her, unprompted, "Paige, did you have a good dance?"

Yes!  A little awkwardly worded, and only one exchange, but the spontaneous initiation, paired with good eye contact, rocked my world.

Take that, Autism.
