ABA therapy playdate and friends playdate

We have had a student who is in school to become a BCBA provide Hunter with in-home therapy, six hours per week for the past few weeks.  She will continue throughout the summer.  She has provided us with great information, behavioral approaches to control situations, and has formed a great bond with Hunter.  She has really tapped into his sensory needs, and will do "spaghetti arms" when he is looks in her eyes, have him jump when he seems to need input, and has him repeat a high pitched "ee-ee-ee" when he starts to grind his teeth.

We went to a large park with her children and our neighbor and had a great time.  Hunter loves this park, but it is so expansive that I don't feel comfortable going alone with the kids.  We played for a bit and then had a picnic lunch.  All in all, it was a successful trip!

After we got home, Paige and Hunter each had a friend over to play.  We made cut out gluten-free cookies and homemade frosting, and the kids decorated their treats.  May have given them all a sugar rush, but they sure did enjoy creaing their own cookies!
