A new school year

School for 2012-2013 has begun!  We had a fun, relaxing weekend and tried to spend a lot of time with each of the kids, doing fun activities and building the excitement for the new year. 

 

 The kids loved the shaving cream for a sensory break...Peyton a little too much. :)

So the kids were in bed before 7, but Paige couldn't fall asleep until almost nine- she was so excited!  The morning went smoothly and we decided to drop Hunter off first.  We walked up to meet Miss Karen and he did his little fall the ground thing, but then stood up and gave her a big hug, big smile on his face.  He walked to the aides and didn't turn around once!  Awesome!  Good thing because he would have seen tears in my eyes- not sad tears, but such pride and happiness at the progress he has made this summer.  The hours, the time, the energy- it is all SO worth it when you see him succeed!!

Paige started her first day of kindergarten today- such a big girl!  Can't wait to hear how the day went!

Peyton had a first day in a sense- he had mommy all to himself!  We played farm, did some speech (ha!), went to Target, and rode scooters outside while we waited for the bus (which never came!  Their first driver never showed up and then they accidentally took him to our daycare lady's home!).
