Meet the teacher, appointments, and therapy..I'm tired. :)

What a day!  We started out with dentist appointments for all the kiddos at 7:50- we just love our pediatric dentist!  So personable, sweet, and so good with all of them- especially Hunter.  The staff makes balloons for all of the children and make it as fun as possible.  Peyton was pretty cute with his first visit- all of his teeth and his drooly, wet shirt- love that little boy!

Then we headed to OT for Hunter- he had a great day and wanted to spend time at the table instead of in the gym.  Miss M shared some of his materials from the day.

Hunter has been into coloring lately at home and he worked hard on his big McQueen picture.

After OT, we went to Jason's Deli to quickly grab lunch before our pediatrician appointment.  The line was to the door, but everyone did great- and when we got our lunch 10 minutes before our scheduled appointment, we ate quickly and packed up the rest to go.  "You've got your hands full!"  I would be a rich woman if I collected money with each of those phrases.

Our pediatrician reviewed the reports from the dermatologist (in regards to vitiligo) and also conferenced about the decisions in the future.  We just love her!!  She actually booked us over the lunch hour so we could get in to see her.  She recommended that we see an immunologist at Children's before making a decision on treatment (IVIG).  Hoping to have that scheduled by the end of the week.  She also agreed to run labs one more time, to see if any of his titers are elevated.  They did a rapid strep (which was negative) and were going to culture it.

We ran home to have Peyton take an (unfortunately) quick nap and then ate, and headed to grab cupcakes
Red velvet cupcakes
for the teachers for Meet the Teacher night (thanks Aunt Heather and Grandma Sue for the idea!).  The bakery had red velvet cupcakes, so I wrote a little note that said, "It's not an apple, but it IS red! Enjoy!"  We loved Paige's sweet teacher.  Paige thought it was so cool to have school supplies and her cubby was "SO big!"  She is ecstatic about the new year.  Hunter had a very hard time in her classroom- the room was small, overcrowded, loud...everything that he despises.  He ran out twice and cried, clung to me, and wanted to be held.  We left and headed to his new school for the district program.  He was very excited to see that Arthur was in his library, too, and was even more excited to see a friend from his other preschool in the class.  He didn't use very many words, but he did seem happy and excited to be there.  He never tried to run away.

Couple other pictures from the week:
Package from Aunt Gretchen- "The night before Kindergarten" and a coloring book.

Making GF oatmeal chocolate chip raisin cookies

Funny phrases from the day: Mommy- let's call it Walreds instead of Walgreens (get it? The sign is red!).  -Called Babies R Us- Diapers R Us.  Also when they were about to "tickle' his throat if he could laugh.
Headed to bed- I am beat!  Don't even know if this post makes sense! lol
